Osoyoos...
On my way back to Vancouver Island from Toronto, I couldn't help but stop in Osoyoos for some smallie fishing.
On my first cast in Osoyoos when I arrived, this 3-9 smallie clobbered my tube jig. What a way to start out!
A few minutes later, this one came aboard on the same tube jig. Also from the north side of Haynes Point.
Turns out a couple from Calgary were out fishing (on their honey moon!) but not having any luck. I told them they could follow me and I'd try to put them on fish.
This is Jay trying to show Laureen how to lip a bass for the first time in Solana Bay.
Just around sunset on the south side of Haynes Point, Jay caught this 4-9 smallie using a Rapala Popper.
A better look at the bass.
I got this 3-13 on a Berkley Frenzy Rattlr in the Pro Perch colour on the south side of Haynes Point.
Got this 4-13 on a drop-shotted Strike Zone Slammer in the north side of Haynes Point.
A better look at the 4-13.
First thing Thursday morning I caught a couple 1 to 2 pound bass on the Rapala Skitter Prop from the bridge and the north side of Haynes Point, but then the topwater bite seemed to die. I went to the south side of Hayne Point and on my first cast with the tube jig, this 5-1 smallie made my day!
A few minutes later on the north side of Haynes Point, I caught this 3-13 on the same tube jig.
I know a lot of guys have been struggling on Osoyoos lately, and if you PM me, I can give you some detailed tips.
