So what deals did you guy find at the show. I picked up some nice frog, crayfish, mouse, and leach fly patterns at Fred's. Buy a dozen for $1.99 and get a second dozen free. Bass flies retail for $5 each boys so I was all over those patterns for $1 each. The guy next to me saw me grabbing up all the frogs and crayfish and said "What, you going bass fishing?"

I said "yup."

Then he said "really, where and how big?"

So I said "seven pounds out of Hatzic," and walked away.

When I paid the clerk, he smiled and said "you know what you are getting don't you?"

I smiled back at him and said "I think we both know."

One more thing; where Justin and the Pacific boys? I thought they were hosting a booth?

They were there! They had a nice little booth over in the S/E side (kinda hard to find!!), They were representing bass fishing in a positive light!!
Which of course we want!!
Shane made the trip up across the the line!! Justin was there as well!!
It's too bad that they were tucked away in a corner, but they were positive and came across as good reps for the sport !!!

Quin
Great deal on the frogs and all !! but you have to start tying with deer hair !! But beware the the divorce rate!!!!

Personally I think the sage is over rated and over priced. I have seen how it performs when I fished with Randolf last summer. I will be sticking with my Algonquin. Yes Randolf is a good tier and makes some attractive Deerhair patterns. I have yet to try the ones (about $100 worth) he gave me last last summer.

I have found most sage rod owners buy sage more for bragging rights than anything else.

When I fished the marsh with Rand it was: 4 crappies for me
0 for Rand

But then I don't claim to be a bassmaster. I'm the crappie king.

I stand in agreement with Andy. In fighting between the two clubs will serve no good purpose. What they say about any of us should be kept personal and not posted on this board.

If we are going to be successful in promoting BC bass fishing, all species fishing, and family fishing, we need to be pro-active and not get involved in petty name calling. The anti-bass movement stand united and we will not gain the respect or cooperation of the sport fishing community as a whole as long as carry on the infighting.

A house divided cannot stand.
