fishtrap/ellwood park

Has anyone had any luck at fishtrap yet?Ive fished most of the water...with no luck yet.Just wondering if anyone has had success there this season.

hey roy, fishtrap doesnt seem to be producing yet,but if your in langley maybe try trinity ponds by the university.

Might give that a try one day.Do I have to talk to security to park and fish there?

fishtrap is slow, TWU is producing, caught 20 or so dinks this afternoon, lost probably another 20, temp 63.5, spinnerbaits were working just fine, just say hey to security, if they arent in the office, then just go fish, they dont seem to mind

What part of the ponds is a good place to start at?I have never fished it before.And is there a place to park without getting my truck towed away?

you can park on glover just before the school in the rest area and then walk in along the road, or pay 5 bucks for parking at the school, as far as fishing goes I've caught them all the way around, just fish cover, it was pretty slow fishing today, only 2 dinks

So I went down to the rest area....is there a trail into the ponds from the main road?Or do you have to walk in threw the university parking lot?I couldnt find a a crossing to cross the creek.

walk in along the road up to the entrance of TWU, there is a path around the ponds starting just past the entrance, I dont think you can get across the creek without chest waders, most guys park in the parking lot, I'm just cheap and dont want to pay 5 bucks for a couple hours fishing

Thanks Len....I know for next time.I did make it to fishtrap and caught a dink yesterday....and seen a couple other swimming the shore line.My bass shutout is over!
