As I'm a new member, and new to bass fishing, I have no suggestions.

How about a TWU family and friends fishing outing, low key, have fun time. We don't concern ourselves with weight, maybe a timed event, most fish from 8-9 am, 9-10 am etc. We can supply cane pole with floats and hooks and bait.(Garden shops will be more than glad to get rid of a few bamboo stakes, as we are still in "winter" )
TWU = Trinity Western University - the man made lake holds lots of fish, small but eager, great for kids !!
Or a bcwa picnic day at the southern Pitt Marsh, walk and fish from the dykes, or launch a boat and explore the south marsh !!! BBQ lunch !! or what ever !! ??

the southern lake -- ( it's found the in the south east corner, near the Golden Eagle golf course off Ladner road

Re: club event ideas
I thought Stokes pit was drained or "developed", or filled in. I know Latimer lake is still there.
As for dates, probably weekends, with an eye on the long range weather report, because it's hard to get people out if it's pouring rain.
Does anyone know the cross streets for Stokes pit?

latimer and stokes are the same place are they not the cross streets are 192 and 24
Re: club event ideas
They seem to be interchangeable, Stokes and Latimer. I did hear rumours of a pond south of Latimer closer to 20th that held fish, but was drained or filled in. It was near the industrial park (Maybe under it now !. lol) People called it Stokes pit.
