Vaseaux Lake

Hey guys im gonna give Vaseaux a try this week end...Anyone have any tips on what to use there? also is there perch in there and I was wondering if there is a motor restiction of any kind... I heard the fishing there is really good...Any tips appreciated

Do not fish the lagoons until the river level drops !!!!, to a safe height !! I believe there's a spillway(a drop dam) just down from the lagoons entrances, if you get caught in that, well, good luck. Fish the rocky point by the Hwy, and the point south of the campsite, or the oxbow at the north end of the lake( Have to drag your boat over the path/culvert).
The island might be a good bet, but watch the current !

Remember this is a very late spring run-off this year, so be careful!!!!

I have never been to that lake, but want to try it out one day. Can you fish from shore at the above-mentioned locations? Is there any cheaper accomodation nearby?
